We are depending on donations from people like you. Without them, we may not have the resources to finish this adventure.

Changing Gears is a project we believe in. Both of us wanted to do a bike tour. Both of us wanted to make a movie about sustainability. Them coming together is an amazing opportunity.

It's amazing enough that we've quit our jobs and put down a big chunk of our own money to bring the dream a little closer. We've set off on the greatest adventure of our life (so far) and we're excited! We want to share some of the great stories we come across, and give folks some inspiration to make changes in their towns, companies and personal lives.

We can't communicate those stories as well on a shoestring budget. We've had gracious help from our family, friends and former employers. It's very exciting to see it come together.

Even with all their help, we are going to need your help to make all of this work. When we sat down around 5 months ago to hammer out some hypothetical budgets, our low estimate was that we'd need around $30,000 to make this work. We're already over a third of the way to making that goal.

We do know that we need more money. For food. For places to stay. For repairs and emergencies. Since investors aren't beating down the door and grants are months away, we really need your help on this project.

If you can spare the money, please help us out. If you believe in this project and want to see a great movie about two people trying to learn and teach about sustainability, please help us out.

As a little thank you, anyone who makes a donation over $20 will get an autographed gift DVD from the first printing of the movie when it is done. That should be in fall/winter of 2008, and we'll happily send it to you to thank you for your donation.
